RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER LIBRARY WHEREAS, the Village Administrator, the Assistant to the Administrator and a representative of Cerny Associates, Architects, have reported that on January 19 1965, at 2:00 P.M. Central Standard Time, they opened and tabulated the bids received for the construction of the Brooklyn Center Public Library and that said bids were as follows: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK CONTRACTOR Base Bid Alt. The bid of the Dean L. Witcher Co. in the amount of $129,690 is determined to be the lowest bid submitted by a responsible bidder for the General Construction Work and said bid is here- with accepted. 2. The Bids on Alternates 1 and 2 to Base Bid "A" are herewith rejected, and the bids submitted by the Dean L. Witcher Co. for Alternates 3, 4, 5 and 6 to Base Bid "A" totaling $9,761 are herewith accepted. 3. The bid of Gopher Electric Co., in the amount of $13,642 being the lowest bid submitted by a responsible bidder for the Elec- trical Construction work is herewith accepted. 4. The Bid on Alternate Number 1 to Base Bid "B" is rejected and the Bid on Alternate Number 2 to said base bid in the amount of of $1,201 is herewith accepted. 5. The Bid of Harry S. Horwitz Company in the amount of $45,989 being the lowest bid submitted by a responsible bidder for the Mechani- cal Construction Work is herewith accepted, and the Bid on Alter nate Number 1 to Base Bid "C" is herewith rejected.
