Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 65 -22
RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF R.L. S. 1023
WHEREAS, tracts D, I and J of Registered Land Survey Number
1023, Hennepin County, Minnesota have been dedicated to the Village
of Brooklyn Center to form a turn -a -round at the end of 48th Avenue North;
and
WHEREAS, the construction of the Dusharme Drive has rendered
the proposed turn -a -round unnecessary; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center
has received a petition from the owner of all of the land abutting on the
said tracts, D, I and J requesting their vacation; and
WHEREAS, the council has conducted a public hearing and determined
that the proposed vacation is in the public interest;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota:
That tracts D, I and J of Registered Land Survey No. 1023, Hennepin
County, Minnesota be and hereby are vacated.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Phil Cohen, John Leary
and Earl Simons,
and the following voted against the same: None;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
