HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-022 CCR i Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -22 RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF R.L. S. 1023 WHEREAS, tracts D, I and J of Registered Land Survey Number 1023, Hennepin County, Minnesota have been dedicated to the Village of Brooklyn Center to form a turn -a -round at the end of 48th Avenue North; and WHEREAS, the construction of the Dusharme Drive has rendered the proposed turn -a -round unnecessary; and WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center has received a petition from the owner of all of the land abutting on the said tracts, D, I and J requesting their vacation; and WHEREAS, the council has conducted a public hearing and determined that the proposed vacation is in the public interest; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: That tracts D, I and J of Registered Land Survey No. 1023, Hennepin County, Minnesota be and hereby are vacated. March 1, 1965 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Phil Cohen, John Leary and Earl Simons, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
