HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-042 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -42 RESOLUTION REVOKING AND ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREETS WHEREAS, recent planning and land use concepts have been adopted which call for a change in the nature of Shingle Creek Parkway, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. The present municipal state -aid street designation for control section 109 Shingle Creek Parkway from Xerxes Avenue North to the North Village limits shall hereby be revoked. 2. The new municipal state -aid street designation is hereby established for control section 109 which shall be described as Shingle Creek Parkway from County Road No. 10 to the North Village limits. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said revocation and establishment of municipal state -aid street be subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Highways of the State of Minnesota and the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner of Highways for his consideration, and that upon his approval of the new designation of said street, that same be constructed, improved and maintained as municipal state -aid street of the Village of Brooklyn Center to be numbered and known as described above. March 22, 1965 Date y Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, John Leary, Phil Cohen and Earl Simons and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
