HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-053 CCR Member Phil Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption RESOLUTION NO. 65 -53 RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN A YOUTH WORK PROGRAM INITIATED UNDER THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY ACT OF 1964 WHEREAS, the Village Council has heard a report from the Administrator and the Director of Parks and Recreation concerning a work program under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, and WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined that participation in this program will be beneficial to the youth of the community and to the Village of Brooklyn Center, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Administrator is instructed to make application for participation in such a program, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following work assignments for enrollees are hereby approved: NUMBER OF SITE WORK STATIONS ENROLLEES VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER Park Department 6 Grandview Park Maintenance Aide I Male Northport Park 11 1 it Kylawn Park 1 Willow Lane Park 1 Miscellaneous Parks 1 Municipal Buildings it 1 if Recreation Department 3 Kylawn Playground Instructor's Aide 1 Female Garden City Playground If 1 Orchard Lane Playground If 1 Administrative Offices 1 Clerical Aide 1 Female Street Department 1 Equipment Maintenance Aide 1 Male RESOLUTION NO, 65 -53 April 19, 1965 Date Mayor i r ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the follow ing voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Howard Heck, John Leary and Earl Simons, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was reclared duly passed and adopted.
