HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-054 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -54 RESOLUTION REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT OF ELECTION EXPENSE WHEREAS, the Village of Brooklyn Center did on March 13, 1965 conduct a special primary election and on March 27, 1965 a special election for the election of a representative for the east half of the 30th Legislative District of the State of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, these elections were made necessary by a decision of the State Legislature not to seat the representative elected in the general election held on November 3, 1964; and WHEREAS, the Village of Brooklyn Center incurred certain expenses to conduct the two special elections and those expenses were as follows: Judges Salaries 3 -13 -65 603.50 Judges Salaries 3 -27 -65 572.32 Drayage for Voting Machines 188.13 Rental Custodial Fees for Polling Places 73.87 Administrative Office Overtime to Service the Voters Registration Roll 153.95 Total 1,591.77 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that the Village of Brooklyn Center requests that the State of Minnesota reimburse the Village of Brooklyn Center for the above stated expenses; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be transmitted to Senator Richard Parish and Representative William Frenzel and the office of the Governor.
