HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-072 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -72 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION IN 63rd AVENUE WHEREAS, the Minnesota Highway Department has agreed to change and extend the paving of 63rd Avenue immediately east of Trunk Highway 152, and WHEREAS, the Village of Brooklyn Center is contemplating the paving improvement of 63rd Avenue from Beard Avenue North westward to meet the Minnesota Highway Department improvement, and WHEREAS, the Village of Brooklyn Center paving improvement includes the extension of a storm sewer between Trunk Highway 152 and Beard Avenue North, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer recommends the necessity of immediately extending approximately 150 feet of storm sewer to accommodate a Minnesota Highway Department paving extension, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has obtained a quotation from Knutson- Seurer, Inc. to do the work for the unit price of $9.75 per lineal foot NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Village Council concurs in the emergency nature of extending approximately 150 feet of storm sewer to accommodate the Minnesota Highway Department paving extension in 63rd Avenue. 2. The Village Council accepts the quotation of Knutson Seurer, Inc. in the amount of $9.75 per lineal foot for the installation of approximately 150 lineal feet of storm sewer. 3. The Village Council authorizes the Village Engineer to pro- ceed immediately to effect the installation of the subject storm sewer. May 10, 1965 Date �i Mayor ATTEST: &A Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, john Leary and Earl Simons, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
