HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-074 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -74 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 1 -TON STEEL ROLLER WHEREAS, the Village Administrator and the Village Engineer have recommended the purchase of a 1 -ton steel roller to facilitate street patch- ing and driveway adjustments; and WHEREAS, the Village Administrator reports that he has received the following quotations: Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Co. Inc. Roll -Pack Roller 945.00 Tri -State Machinery Company* Cutter Roller 995.00 George T. Ryan Company Glendhill Roller $1,349.00 Tri -State Machinery Company offers to rent the roller during the 1965 construction season with the privilege of purchasing the roller out of budgeted funds during 1966. The total cost on a rental purchase basis would be $1, 100. 00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the quotation of Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Company, Inc., in the amount of $945. 00 is considered to be the lowest and best quotation for the furnishing of a 1 -ton steel roller, and the Administrator is authorized to purchase the 1 -ton steel roller from Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Co. Inc. for immediate delivery. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Street Maintenance Capital Outlay appropriation is increased by $945. 00 and the Mayor and Council Contingency appropriation is reduced by $945.00 May 10, 1965 Date 1v Mayor ATTEST: L• Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Phil Cohen, John Leary and Earl Simons and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
