HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-078 CCR Member Earl Simons introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -78 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1965 -2 AND 1965 -6 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1965 -2 Curb and gutter on 63rd Avenue North between Beard Avenue North and west Village limits. 1965 -6 Curb and gutter on Xerxes Avenue North between freeway (F.A.1. 94) and 65th Avenue North. WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at an estimated cost of $29,500 and $3,400, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 398, Laws of Minnesota, 1953, as amended. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the Village Hall in the Village on Tuesday, the 1st day of June 1965, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks publication in the official newspaper of the Village. 3. The areas proposed to be assessed for said improvements are as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREETS WHERE THE PROJECTS ARE TO BE CONSTRUCTED. 4. These proposed improvements ahall be designated Curb and Gutter Improvement No's. 1965 -2 and 1965 -6. May 17, 1965 Date iv Mayor ATTEST: al a Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Howard Heck and Earl Simons, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
