HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-081 CCR Member Earl Simons introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -81 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED GRADING, BASE 8 SURFACING IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1965 -1 8 1965 -5 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1965 -1 Grading, base and surfacing of 63rd Avenue North between 63rd Avenue North and west Village limits. 1965 -5 Grading, base and surfacing of Xerxes Avenue North between freewa F A I 94 and t v North. y a 65 h Avenue h. WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has made apreliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at an estimated cost of $146,450 and $17,850, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 398, Laws of Minnesota, 1953, as amended. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the Village Hall in the Village on Tuesday, the 1st day of Jung, 1965, at 8 :00 O'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks publication in the official newspaper of the Village. 3. The areas proposed to be assessed for said improvement are as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREETS WHERE THE PROJECTS ARE TO BE CONSTRUCTED. 4. These proposed improvements ahall be designated Grading, Base and surfacing Improvement No's. 1965 -1 and 5- May 17, 1965 Date Mayor ATTEST: COX it's Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Howard Heck and Earl Simons, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
