moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 65 -98
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CONSIDERATION OF
PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICATION #65040 AND WAIVING THE
REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 35 -210 -7 OF THE VILLAGE ORDINANCES
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Village Council considered on June 7,
1965, the Planning Commission's recommendation on Application #65040 sub-
mitted by Lawrence C. Brown for a rezoning to allow a Chrysler Corporation
automobile dealership; and
WHEREAS, on June 7, 1965, the Council held a Public Hearing on the
application; and
WHEREAS, the Council tabled said application until June 28, 1965,
for the purpose of allowing additional time for review of the ramifications of
approval or disapproval of the application; and
WHEREAS, Section 35 -210 -7 of the Village Ordinances requires that
all applications for rezoning be acted upon by the Village Council within
thirty days of receipt from the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Council now determines that this application and the
required decision related thereto has far reaching implications on the future
development of Osseo Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center sets forth the following schedule for the purpose
of further considering said Application #65040:
1. On June 28, 1965 at 8 :00 P. M. a meeting will be held for the
purpose of hearing the Planning Consultant outline the results
of the "701 Study" pertaining to Osseo Road and the particular
area in which the applicant is interested.
2. On July 6, 1965 at 8 :00 P. M. the Village Attorney will review
before the Council legal aspects of rezoning as requested by
the applicant.
3. On Tuesday, July 13, 1965 at 8 :00 P.M. a special meeting of
the Council will be held to hear the final presentations of the
proponents and opponents of the application.
4. The application will be placed on the July 19, 1965, Council
agenda for discussion and decision.
RESOLUTION NO, 65 -98
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all parties concerned shall be publicly
notified of the above schedule of meetings.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of Section 35 -210 -7 of
the Village Ordinances shall be waived as regards Application #65040.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Earl Simons, John Leary
and Howard Heck
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
