HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-113 CCR r Member Phil Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -113 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF VILLAGE FIRE EQUIPMENT AT THE 1965 MINNEAPOLIS SUBURBAN AREA SOAP BOX DERBY WHEREAS, the Minneapolis junior Chamber of Commerce, through Mr. Arthur F. Callahan, has requested the use of a Village fire truck in the City of Minneapolis during the 1965 Minneapolis- Suburban Area Soap Box Derby; and WHEREAS, the Village Fire Chief has reviewed this request and feels confident that adequate fire protection can be maintained with existing equipment and through mutual aid support during the absence of the vehicle. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center authorize the Fire Chief to provide a fire vehicle and drivers to support the above mentioned activity on July 24, 1965. June 28, 1965 Date Mayor e4 A ATTEST: a Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, John Leary, Earl Simons and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
