HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-016 EDAR1 1 1 Commissioner Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: EDA RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -16 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER (EDA) TO PURCHASE A NEW FT900 DISHWASHING SYSTEM FROM HOBART COMPANY WHEREAS, the Earle Brown Heritage Center (EBHC) provides excellent banquet, convention, and meeting services for thousands of residents and guests annually; and WHEREAS, the current dishwashing system is aged and in need of replacement; and WHEREAS, the catering manager, FLIK International, has agreed to contribute $60,000 toward the cost of purchasing a new dishwashing system; and WHEREAS, the balance of the required funding is available in the EBHC Capital Improvement Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic Development Authority in and for the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the EDA Executive Director is authorized to take all actions necessary to complete the acquisition and installation of a new FT900 Hobart dishwashing system with an estimated cost of $86,408 for the Earle Brown Heritage Center. ATTEST: November 14, 2005 Date City Clerk W4.4 resident The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Kathleen Carmody and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, and Diane Niesen; and the following voted against the same: Mary 0' Connor; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
