FUTR'1 MM SUGGESTIONS OR OUMTIONS
"Sign Ordinance Unfair" "Sign Ordinance and many Ordinances Outdated" "Set up
village zoning to entice large companies-public seems opposed to progress"
"Sign Ordinances are stricter than Minneapolis, which is rated one of toughest
in the United States. Ordinances are too restrictive to entice new business.
Cleanliness and size of signs should be regulated, but not to the extent that
they stifle business." "On sale liquor" "The village should requal.ify
certain personnel in charge of certain departments" "Planning Commission
is making it too tough for business to get into Brooklyn Center"
"Let's woo---not wait to be wooed" "Present form of government inadequate"
"Industrial Development Commission put out newsletter to all businesses"
"Osseo road should be commercial" "The surrounding villages are really cleaning
up on our entertainment spendings. My kids eouldntt take a bus to get to
Robbi.nsdaie (transportation) to see a movie (why not in Brooklyn Center). .
I cant get a decent noon time meal in this village. If I want to take a
customer to lunch, or even my wife, I have to drive 3-5 miles to a neighboring
village." "Publish apparent affect Industrial taxation would have on individual
taxpayer. Stimulate public interest by "discovery" of additional advantages.
Go after village officials for their unified support. THEN purchase the Marls
Brown Farm under contract for deed and assignment of parcels. Now go after industry
with a package. Possibly build for speculation. This village would soon be
. hold up as the standard for development to use by other villages of the state."
(there were any numbdr of comments in regard to the sign ordinance, too numerous
to list )
