HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-021 EDAR1 1 1 Commissioner Debra Hilstrom introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: EDA RESOLUTION NO. 97 -21 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE REMOVAL FOR 53RD AVENUE DEVELOPMENT AND LINKAGE PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sale and removal of residential structures in the 53rd Avenue Development and Linkage Project, two bids were received, opened and tabulated by the City Clerk and Community Development Director on the 5th day of August, 1997. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Ernst Machinery and House Movers Corp. Ernst Machinery and House Movers Corp. Carlson Construction NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic Authority in and for the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: August 11, 1997 Date Address 516 -53rd Avenue North 5304 Bryant Avenue North 5304 Bryant Avenue North Bid $500 $500 $3,101 Development 1. The Executive Director is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the following bidders in the name of the Economic Development Authority in and for the City of Brooklyn Center, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the EDA and on file in the Community Development Department: Ernst Machinery and House Movers Corp. for 516 -53rd Avenue North and Carlson Construction for 5304 Bryant Avenue North. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidders and the next highest bidders shall be retained until a contract is signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by commissioner Kathleen Carmody and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
