Commissioner Dave Rosene introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:
EDA RESOLUTION NO. qa -n6
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY'S NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD
FOR PURPOSES OF FOCUSING RESOURCES UNDER THE MINNESOTA
HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY'S COMMUNITY REHABILITATION FUND
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority in and for
the City of Brooklyn Center (EDA) has been awarded $275,000 in
grant funds under the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency's (MHFA's)
Community Rehabilitation Fund Program; and
WHEREAS, the Community Rehab Fund Program requires the
EDA to designate a specific City neighborhood within which the
grant funds may be used; and
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center EDA desires to use the
Community Rehabilitation Program grant funds for eligible
redevelopment activities in the City's northeast neighborhood, the
boundaries of which are described as: I -94/I -694 on the south,
Shingle Creek on the west, 73rd Avenue North (the border with
Brooklyn Park) on the north, and the Mississippi River on the
east.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic
Development Authority in and for the City of Brooklyn Center that
the northeast neighborhood of the City of Brooklyn Center, as
described in this resolution, shall be the designated neighborhood
within which the Community Rehabilitation Grant funds will be
used.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Commissioner Barb Kalli and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Todd Paulson, Dave Rnsene, and Barb Kalligher;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
