EDA RESOLUTION NO. 94 -11
introduced the following
RESOLUTION OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA, REQUESTING THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER TO CALL FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MODIFICATION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR THE EARLE BROWN FARM REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHICH EXPANDS THE GEOGRAPHIC AREA WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE
GEOGRAPHIC AREA OF EXISTING HOUSING DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
NO. 01 AND ADDS ADDITIONAL "HOUSING" POWERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS (the
"Board OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY
OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA (the "Authority AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council (the "Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota (the "City created its Earle Brown
Farm Redevelopment Project pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section
469.001 through 469.047, inclusive, as amended, in an effort to
encourage the development and redevelopment of certain designated
areas within the City; and
WHEREAS, the Authority proposes to modify the
Redevelopment Plan (the "Plan for the Earle Brown Farm
Redevelopment Project pursuant to and in accordance with Minnesota
Statutes Sections 469.001 through 469.047, inclusive, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of
Commissioners of the Economic Development Authority in and for the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Authority hereby requests that the Council call
for a public hearing to consider the proposed
modifications to the Plan on April 25, 1994, and to
cause notice of said public hearing to be given as
required by law.
2. The Authority directs the Executive Director to
transmit copies of the Plan to the Planning
Commission of the City and requests the Planning
Commissioner's written opinion indicating whether
the proposed modifications to the Plan are in
accordance with the Comprehensive Plan of the City,
prior to the date of the public hearing to be
called by the Council.
3. The Executive Director of the Authority is hereby
directed to submit a copy of the Plan to the
Council for its approval.

4. The Authority directs the Executive Director to
transmit the Plan to the school district in which
the Earle Brown Farm Tax Increment Financing
District and Tax Increment Financing District No.
01 are located and to the County not later than 30
days prior to the public hearing.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Commissioner Dave Rosene and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Todd Paulson, Dave Rosene, and Barb Kalligher;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
