The July 2nd meeting of the Industrial. Development C ,.scion was called to
order by Chai.rman# Edwin Burt at 8:00 Iii.

It was necessary that arshal.l. Jacobson and Barry Johnson be absent this evening.,
so formal consent vas gib.
Notion by Earl Rydbergs and seconded by Wayne LWbree ht to apprOve the minutes
of the June 5th meeting a recorded. Motion carried.

Roger kl.cbmeier# Publicity Chairman,,, submitted the ccntac t card that mould: be
filled out at the villAge offices 4 by those interested in BrooklyT Center, and a
'UE"=0 TO BROOKLYN C t letter, which includes info=at on about our village.
Motion by William. Leglers and seconded by Earl Simons to approve the dot a
and letter as submitted. This card and Iretter to be referred to vx. Loax for
dupli cat.;_on and to b put in to operation. Motion carried.
r. Lee volunteered to set up a display so that the card and letter wo-ild be readily
available to all those making inquiries.
It was called to the attention of the Commission that the fol:la;,ing items<s were
disc ,rased at the July 1st Council Meetings
1, Lpibrook Bowl expansion.
2. 100 x 125 building to be constructed at Northbrook Shopping Center;
the min tenant to be xis esotJa Mills and would 4 11 3TM.e a 'oarber sheep
and beauty shop plus an undesignated tenant.
3. Apartment building to be built south of the pole ye ard,

It was the feeliAs- of the Coi.ssion that further discussion of a brochures be held
irnti.l we have heard from Soo Line.
It was card to the attention of the Co ssion that Northern States Power is in the
process of writing the updated ColZtU:UTY FACT S'Uft1,' ;s FOR BROOXWN CE14MS but would
like to include additional info alien on the Barre Bre t Farm area. It was the feeling
of the Commission that Northern States Poorer be urged to proceed, and possibly LTdatee
the report later with a fly sheet j, when more info emtion is made available on the
Earle Brown Farm, area. Air. Lee -,T-411 makes this contact with Northern States Parer.
Edwin Burt discussed with the Commission that a lay committee had been formed for

the purpose of dorm research on the Brooklyn Center School Districts to see-whether
one school district would be feasible for Brooklyn Center. If members are interested
in taking part, as a we ber of the committee.. they can contact him or Dallas Lurrence#

from Dr, Hooker, U. of nn. y to appear at our next rw--;eting*
Yx* Lee called to the attention of the Commission that the Council had discussed
a charge in the method of appointment of Comi.sslon members, It was their feeling
that the C€ m scion members be appointed individually by then and not have appointments
by the Council as a bandy. It was thm called to the Con> + -s-sion members attention,
by the Chainmnm that we could expand to fifteen from fourteen members or eomr4rt to
ten, by the process of not mak-, ng reappointments It was the feclin of the Co issicn
that we should recamend e an ng our membership to fifteen. . Lee farmed us
