Adjournment • BROOKLYN CENTER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPICiL'T COMINISSION MAY .=TTI :G We recommend that the Brooklyn Center Industrial Jevelo-oment Commis^ion participate in the 4th of July Celebr ation by manning a iapla.y Boot-.. The Village Council has been approached in regard to this idea. Their reaction was that it would provide an excellent opportunity to reach some of the residents, to get their thinking toward industry in Brooklyn Center. The 4th of July Celebration Chairman has been contacteA and indicates a booth area could. be reserved for us. We propose that cards per the attached samAle be printed to be filled out by as a.any persons as visit the booth. These cards would also provide a means of getting leads or prospective ind.u~-tries for the Contact Committee. We visualize this as an opportunity to ?isplay portions of the re S P Community Fact Survey and copies of the High Impact Brochure. We propose the use of attention getters such as: A large sign reading "I-WLJSTRY OR YY" Members wearing UIaCIE S94 HATS and name tags or arm bands Sandwich Board Signs A large map of Brooklyn Center, showing the areas available for industry. (The amount of area actually available for industry may be quite surprising to many if sufficiently illustrated) We feel that it would be good from a, outlic relations standpoint to illustrate the ways in which the Industrial Development Commission can assist industry in locating in Brooklyn Center. We feel too, that we should publicize our accomplishments to-date, and the future plans of the Commission. The Publie ty Committee, Wayne LAibrecht Ernee McArthur Frank K.ampmeyer
