HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988 06-13 EDAM Special Session1 1 6 -13 -88 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA SPECIAL SESSION JUNE 13, 1988 CITY HALL CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Economic Development Authority met in special session and was called to order by President Pro tem Bill Hawes at 11:13 p.m. ROLL CALL President Pro tem Bill Hawes, Commissioners Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, and Rich Theis. Also present were EDA Director Gerald Splinter, Director of Public Works Sy Knapp, Director of Planning and Inspection Ron Warren, City Attorney Ron Batty, EDA Coordinator Brad Hoffman, and Administrative Aid Patti Page. President Pro tem Hawes noted President Nyquist was absent from this evening's meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MAY 23, 1988 There was a motion by Commissioner Scott and seconded by Commissioner Theis to approve the minutes of the May 23, 1988, Economic Development Authority meeting as submitted. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Lhotka abstained from the vote. REVIEW OF EARLE BROWN FARM SCHEMATIC DESIGN The EDA Director stated all the materials necessary for the review of the schematic design were not quite ready and staff would like this item tabled to the next meeting. There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Scott to table review of Earle Brown Farm schematic design to the next meeting of the Economic Development Authority. The motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 88 -09 Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONTRACT WITH METRO HRA FOR HOME REHAB GRANT ADMINISTRATION The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis, and the motion passed unanimously. ADJOURNMENT There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Theis to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
