SPECIAL SESSION
JANUARY 8, 1990

CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center Economic Development Authority met in special session and
was called to order by President Dean Nyquist at 9 :22 p.m.
ROLL CALL
President Dean Nyquist, Commissioners Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, Jerry Pedlar,
and Philip Cohen. Also present were EDA Director Gerald Splinter, Director of
Public Works Sy Knapp, Finance Director Paul Holmlund, Director of Planning and
Inspection Ron Warren, City Attorney Charlie LeFevere, Assistant Finance
Director Charlie Hansen, and Administrative Aide Patti Page.
RESOLUTION
The EDA Director presented a Resolution Approving the Brooklyn Center Economic
Development Authority Budget for the Year 1990 Pursuant to MSA Chapter 469.033,
Subdivision 6 and MSA Chapter 469.107, Subdivision 1.
RESOLUTION NO. 90 -01
Commissioner Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BROOKLYN CENTER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BUDGET
FOR THE YEAR 1990 PURSUANT TO MSA CHAPTER 469.033, SUBDIVISION 6 AND MSA CHAPTER
469.107, SUBDIVISION 1
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Commissioner Philip Cohen, and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Paulson inquired under the Heritage Center budget, what was covered
for professional services. The EDA Director stated it is basically the contract
work with Mr. Beisner. Commissioner Paulson stated he would like a detailed
breakdown of these figures.
ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Commissioner Pedlar and seconded by Commissioner Paulson
to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The Brooklyn Center
Economic Development Authority adjourned at 9:28 p.m.
