HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004 03-08 EDAM Regular Session MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA REGULAR SESSION MARCH 8, 2004 CITY HALL CITY COUNCIL 1. CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Economic Development Authority (EDA) met in Regular Session and was called to order at 9:35 p.m. by President Myrna Kragness. 2. ROLL CALL President Myrna Kragness, Commissioners Kathleen Carmody, Diane Niesen, and Bob Peppe. Commissioner Kay Lasman was absent and excused. Also present: Executive Director Michael McCauley, City Attorney Charlie LeFevere, and Deputy City Clerk Maria Rosenbaum. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA A motion by Commissioner Carmody, seconded by Commissioner Niesen to approve the agenda and consent agenda. Motion passed unanimously. 3a. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion by Commissioner Carmody, seconded by Commissioner Niesen to approve the January 12, 2004, regular session minutes. Commissioner Bob Peppe abstained. Motion passed. 4. COMMISSION CONSIDERATION ITEMS 4a. RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE SALE OF CERTAIN EDA OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 419 69TH AVENUE NORTH PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, SECTION 469.012 SUBDIVISION 7 AND SECTION 469.029 Executive Director Michael McCauley discussed this resolution would call a public hearing on April 12, 2004, for the sale of EDA owned property located at 419 69 Avenue North pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.012 Subdivision 7 and Section 469.029. 03/08/04 -1- RESOLUTION NO. 2004-02 Commissioner Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE SALE OF CERTAIN EDA OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 419 69TH AVENUE NORTH PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, SECTION 469.012 SUBDIVISION 7 AND SECTION 469.029 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Peppe. Motion passed unanimously. 5. ADJOURNMENT A motion by Commissioner Carmody, seconded by Commissioner Peppe to adjourn the meeting at 9:39 p.m. Motion passed unanimously. Q President 03/08/04 -2-
