Member introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-102
RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF SEPTEMBER 9, 2008, PRIMARY
ELECTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it is
hereby determined by official canvass that Tim Roche, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, and Mary O' Connor
received the highest number of votes in the September 9, 2008, primary election and are declared to
be the nominees for the office of Council Member of the City of Brooklyn Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center
that the City Clerk is directed to place the names of the nominees on the general election ballot.

The Schoo/ Board of Independent Schoo!
District No. 286, Brooklyn Center,
Minnesota, has proposed to increase its
genera/ education revenue by $200.00 per
pupil. The additiona/ revenue will be used
to finance school operations. The proposed
referendum revenue authorization would be
applicable for ten (10) years unless
otherwise revoked or reduced as provided
by law. The increase would be effective
beginning in 2009, the first year it is to be
levied.
