Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on the 24th day of March, 2008, at 7:00
p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard at City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway,
to consider an ordinance providing for the acquisition and pass-through sale of certain land in the
City.
Auxiliary aids for handicapped persons are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance.

ORDINANCE NO. 2008-02
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF TAX
FORFEITED PROPERTY AND EXECUTION OF A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR
CERTAIN LAND IN THE CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
I. BACKGROUND
1.1. Hennepin County acquired through tax forfeiture a real property in the City
legally described as:
The North 42 feet of the East 30 feet of the West 155 feet of Lot 7, Block
4, BELLVUE ACRES (the "Subject Property"). PID O1-118-21-34-0070
1.2. A detached garage is located on the Subject Property, separate from the house
parcel which is legally described as:
The West 125 feet of the North 42 feet of Lot 7, Block 4, BELLVUE
ACRES, except street ("the "House Parcel"). PID O 1-118-21-34-0068
1.3. The City wishes to facilitate the pass thru conveyance of the Subject Property
from Hennepin County to the City to the owner of the House Parcel on the condition that the
owner of the House Parcel a) combine the two parcels for tax purposes; b) pay the assessed value
of the Subject Property; c) provide title evidence for the House Parcel; and d) pay $300 to the
City to cover attorney fees.
II. ACQUISITION OF SUBJECT PROPERTY
2.1 The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to take all steps
necessary to acquire the Subject Property from Hennepin County.

III. SALE OF PROPERTY

III. EFFECTIVE DATE
3.1. This Ordinance shall become effective after adoption and upon thirty (30) days
following its legal publication.
