NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION
ORDINANCE NO. 2005-10
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 130FTHE
CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO
PARKS AND RECREATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITYOFBROOKLYN CEN-
TER DOES ORDAIN AS F OLLOW S:
Section 1. 13 -101, DEFINITIONS, is amended it the
following manner:
Parks, enrsOpen Space Trails. and Waterways -Any area
ut ereverIocated ip he City which is reserved, designat-
ed, or used for.active or passive recreation. and which is
owned, operated, or controlled by the City, or which is lo-
cated within the City but owned, operated, or controlled by
another govemmental unit.
Motorized Vehicle Any vehicle having a self-contained
unit for propelling the vehicle by means of converting
stored energy. Motorized vehicles include but shall not be
limited to automobiles, trucks, motor bates, mint bites,
snowmobiles, motorized soot scooters. and beery- pow
eyed carts
Section 2. Section 13-102 is amended in the fol-
lowing manner.
Section 13 -102. CURFEW AUTHORIZED. No per-
son, unless engaged in official City business, shall enter
upon or use any park and recreation facilities of the City
of Brooklyn Center, including all park and open space
property, improved or not, and all equiprnent and farad
thereon, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 65 a.m..esere
when such
parks and open space or facilities are posted by sign not-
ing the curfew hours; provided, however, that such post-
ing shall be by order of the City:Councd. The fact that any
person not engaged in official City business as authorized
or delegated by the City Manager is present in a posted
park and open space during said curfew hours shall be
puma facie evidence that said person is there unlawfuly.
Section 3. Section 13 -103 M amended in the fol-
lowing manner.
Section 13-103 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PRO-
HIBITED. No person shall bring into any park no pos-
sess, display, consume or use intoxicating liquors nor 32
percent malt liquors in any park unless a permit has been
issued by the City Manager or City Managees Designee

stitution and bylaws and which shall have been it exis-
tence for at least one year.
Section 4. Section 13-107 is amended in the fol-
lowing manner,

Section 5_ Section 13 -110 is amended in the fol-
lowing manner
Section 13 -110, CAMPING PROHIBITED. No person
shah camp nor set up tents, shacks, trailers or any other
temporary shelter for the purpose of camping in any City
park or open space without the written permission of the

Seetlopl. Section 13 -111 is amended in the fol-
lowing manner:
Section 13 -111. UNAUTHORIZED GOLFING PRO-
HIBITED. No person shall play or practice golf nor use golf
equipment of any kind in a City park or open space except
under the direct supervision of an employee of the Qom=
lnunity Activities:. Recreation and Services Department
or as a scheduled part
of the City's park and recreation program.
Section 8. This ordinance shall be effective after
adoption and thirty days following its legal publication.
