HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-06 07-25 CCOCITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on the 25 day of July, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway, to consider an ordinance providing for the sale of certain land in the City. Auxiliary aids for handicapped persons are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance. Please notify the Deputy City Clerk at 763 -569 -3300 to make arrangements. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I. BACKGROUND 1.1. The City acquired real property in the City legally described in the deed as: (the "Subject Property"). 1.2. The conveyance of the Subject Property included in the description of the Subject Property land that the transferor did not intend to convey to the City and the City did not intend to acquire. That part of the Subject Property that was inadvertently included in the description thereof is described as: (the "Excess Property"). 1.3. The City wishes to correct this erroneous legal description and release the Excess Property to its intended owner. II. SALE OF PROPERTY 2.1. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to execute a quit claim deed to the Excess Property and take all steps necessary to effect the transfer thereof. III. EFFECTIVE DATE 3.1. This Ordinance shall become effective after adoption and upon thirty (30) days following its legal publication. Adopted this 25 day of July, 2005.
