Financial Officer of the newspaper known as Sun -Post and has full
knowledge of the facts stated below:
(A) The newspaper has complied with all of the requirements constituting qualification as a
qualified newspaper, as provided by Minn. Stat. §331A.02, §331A.07, and other applicable
laws, as amended.
(B) The printed public notice that is attached was published in the newspaper once each week,
for one successive weeks; it was first published on Thursday, the 20 day of
November 2003, and was thereafter printed and published on every Thursday to and
including Thursday, the day of 2003; and printed below is a copy of the

ORDINANCE NO. 2003-20
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DEER HUNTING
WITHIN THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR
THE PURPOSE OF POPULATION CONTROL
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN
CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Brooklyn Center City Code Section 19-401 is
amended as follows:
Section 19-401. HUNTING[,] AND DISCHARGING OF
FIREARMS EXCEPTIONS HUNTING PROHIBITED].
1. Prohibition. All hunting with firearms and bow and ar-
rows and discharging of firearms within the City of Brook-
lyn Center is hereby prohibited.
[DISCHARGING FIREARMS PROHIBITED. Discharg-
ing of firearms within the City of Brooklyn Center is here-
by prohibited provided, however, that]
2. Exceptions The provisions of this ordinance shall not
apply to:
a. members of duly organized gun clubs shooting or prac-
ticing on lands owned or Leased by their club and li-
censed by the City; or
b. [to] trap shooters shooting on grounds selected for that
purpose by the City; or
c. [to] firing salutes over the graves of soldiers; or
d. the harvesting of deer pursuant to a Deer Management
Plan adopted by t h e City Council as allowed unde Per
mit issued by the Citv Manager or City Man g re s d e-
signee and subject to any conditions and limitations es-
tablished by the City Manager
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective after adoption
and thirty days following its legal publication.
