Richard Hendrickson, being duly sworn on an oath states or affirms, that he is the interim pub-
lisher of the newspaper known as Sun -Post or the president's des-
ignated agent, and has full knowledge of the facts stated below:
(A) The newspaper has complied with all of the requirements constituting qualification as a
qualified newspaper, as provided by Minn. Stat. §331A.02, §331A.07, and other applicable
laws, as amended.
(B) The printed public notice that is attached was published in the newspaper once each week,

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held
on the 24th day of September, 2001, at 7 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard at the City Hall, j
6301 Shingle Creek Parkway, to consider An Ordinance
Amending Chapter 1 of the City Ordinances Deleting Lan
guage Referencing Dog Licensing.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF THE
CITY ORDINANCES DELETING LANGUAGE
REFERENCING DOG LICENSING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN
CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 1 of the City Ordinances of the City
of Brooklyn Center is hereby amended as follows:
Section Jaia, ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES. The
Animal Control Officer may captpre and impound any an-
imal running at lar
Section 1 -111 REDEMPTION OF IMPOUNDED ANI-
MALS. Any animal may be redeemed from the pound by
the owner upon payment of the following:
31. The amount of the boarding fee whieh the City is re-
quired to pay the pound keeper.
42. An impounding penalty as set forth by City Council
resolution.
Section 1 -115 DISPOSAL. OF UNREDEEMED ANI-
MALS. The City's designated pound keeper shall make an
effort to contact the owner of any animal which has been
impounded and which has identification on it. If at the
end of the impounding period the animal is not reclaimed
by the owner, such animal shall be deemed to have been
abandoned and may be disposed of or sold to any person
following the procedures contained in Minnesota Statutes
514.93 relating to the sale of unclaimed animals by vet
erinarians.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective after adop-
tion and thirty days following its legal publication.
