Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held
on the 9th day of July, 2001, at 7 p.m. or as soon thereafter
as the matter may be heard at City Hall, 6301 Shingle
Creek Parkway, to consider An. Ordinance Providing for
the Conveyance of a Portion of Lots 8 and 9, Block 1,
Lane's Brooklyn Center Addition, According to the
Recorded Plat Thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

upon request at least 96 hours in advance. Please contact

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
CONVEYANCE OF A PO'RTIOt;) OF LOTS 8 AND 9,
BLOCK 1, LANE'S BROOKLYN CENTER ADDITION, 1
ACCORDING TO THE RECORDED PLAT THEREOF,
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN
CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
I. BACKGROUND
1.1 The City is the owner of certain real property in the
City of Brooklyn Center legally described as Lots 8 and 9,
Block 1, Lane's Brooklyn Center Addition, according to
the recorded plat thereof Hennepin County,' Minnesota.
1.2 The City Council has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City to convey a portion of said property
legally described as:
The North 97.19 feet of Lots 8 and 9 Block 1, Lane's Brook-
lyn Center Addition, according to the recorded plat there-
of, Hennepin County, Minnesota
(hereinafter referred to as the "Property) to the Economic
Development Authority in and for the City of Brooklyn
Center (EDA).

II. SALE OF PROPERTY
2.1 The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and di-
rected to execute all documents and take all steps neces-
sary to effect the conveyance of the Property.
III. EFFECTIVE DATE
3.1 This Ordinance shall become effective after adoption
and upon thirty (30) days following its legal publication.
