Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on the 13th day of November, 2000, at 7
p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway,
to consider An Ordinance Amending Chapter 23 of the City Ordinances Relating to Amusement
Devices.
Auxiliary aids for persons with disabilities are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance.

ORDINANCE NO. 2000 -12
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES
RELATING TO AMUSEMENT DEVICES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 23 of the City Ordinances of the City of Brooklyn Center is
hereby amended as follows:

Section 23 -2101. LICENSE REQUIRED.
B. No vcndor as dcfincd hcrcin shall -provide an amuscmcnt dcvicc or dcvic w
to any operator or amuscmcnt ccntcr locatcd within thc City of Brooklyn
Ccntcr unlcss such vcndor shall havc first procurcd a liccnsc as hcrcinaftcr
providcd.
Section 23 -2102. DEFINITIONS.
B. "Vcndoi" A pci�„��, fr1n, pcatn.,i.Lip or corporation which owns one or
morc amuscmcnt dcviccs met which providcs such dcviccs to an amuscmcnt
ccntcr operator, or to thc operator (managcr or owncr) of an cstablishmcnt
authorizcd to havc amuscmcnt dcviccs on his/hcr prcmiscs for public usc.
Section 23 -2103. APPLICATION FOR LICENSE.
B. Vcndor's Liccnsc. The application for a vendor's liccnsc shall contain the
1. Namc and address of vendor.
2. Location or locations where amusement dcviccs will be uscd.
3. Prior misdemeanor or fclony convictions, if any, but excluding traffic
violations.

B. At the time of application for an operator's license or vendor's license the
applicant shall pay in full an investigation fee as set forth by City Council
resolution. If at any time an additional investigation is required because of
a change of ownership or control of a corporation or partnership previously
licensed, the licensee investigation fee as set

Section 23 -2104. LICENSE FEE.
Section 23-2115. AMUSEMENT DEVICES RESTRICTIONS AND LICENSE
REVOCATION.
D. Every operator and vcndor, in making application for a license hereunder,
acknowledges that the license is a personal privilege and does not constitute
property, and is not transferable.
E. Any violation of this ordinance, or any failure to comply with any provisions
of this ordinance, or any failure to comply with any conditional restriction of
any special use permit issued with respect to the licensed premise, is hereby
deemed to be adequate grounds for revocation of the license for all
amusement devices on the licensed premis

Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective after adoption and thirty days
following its legal publication.
