ORDINANCE NO, 99-18
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE
CITY ORDINANCES REGARDING THE
MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN
I CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section L Chapter 3bfthe City Ordinances of the City of
1 Brooklyn Center is hereby amended in the following man-
ner:
Section 3-103 Permits and Inspections
D Submissions of Plans and Specifications. Each appli-
cation for a building permit shall include at least two sets
of plans and specifications in the case of one and two fam-
ily dwellings and residential accessory buildings; and at
least three sets ofplans and apecifications in the case of all
8id1i b family dwelling and accessory buildings, com-
mercial buildings, industrial buildings, and other nonres-
idential buildings. Building plans and specifications shall
bear the certification of a Minnesota registered architect
and/or engineer in the case of all multiple family buildings
and nonresidential buildings, and in all other cases when
required by the building official. At the discretion of the
building official plans and specifications need not be sub-
mitted for the following:
1. One -story building additions of Type V conventional
wood stud construction with an area not exceeding 600 sq.
ft.
2. Group. MT II, Division 1, occupancies of Type V con
ventional wood stud construction.
3. Minor projects.
Section 2. Chapter 3 of the City Ordinances of the City of
Brooklyn Center is hereby amended in the following man-
ner

ing Code are adopted and incorporated as part of the build
ing code for the City of Brooklyn Center.

adoption and upon thirty days following its legal publica-
tion.
