AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES RELATING TO OPEN BURN- ING AND THE ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Brooklyn Center City Code Section 5 -201.b is amended as follows: b. Adoption of Codes and Standards. There is adopted and incorporated herein by reference as an ordinance of the City: 1. Uniform Fire Code Adopted. The Uniform Fire Code as promulgated by the Internation- al Conference of Building Officials and West- ern Fire Chiefs' Association (19941 Edition) gether with Appendices I -A. I-B. I-C. II- A. "II- R. II -P. III -A. TII -B. III-C. W-A W R. VI -A. VI- B. VI -E and Minnesota Amendments as found in Rules Dart 7510. through 7510.3710 is hereby adopted by reference and incorporated 2 n n. Adoption of National Fire Code. Whenever the Uniform Fire Code, as 84904.4410-4980, is silent on any subject, for any reason, in any situation, the provision of protection shall be in accordance with Nation al Fire Code 48881997 Standards Numbered 13, 13A, 13D, 13R, 14, 20, 71, 72A, 72B, 72C, 72D, 72E, 22F, 74, 26, 101, 231, 231C, 231D, and 231F and their appendices, issued by the National Fire Protection Association (Quincy, Massachusetts, 49881997) which are adopted by reference as part of this code as though set forth herein in their entirety. Section 2. Brooklyn Center City Code Section 5 -201.c is amended as follows: c. Codes on File: The 44y-sleek fire chief shall file one (1) copy of the Uniform Fire Code 48941997 Edition with the State of Minnesota Amendments, and one (1) copy of those parts of the National Fire Code referred to in section t ll (2)ofthisSection ,marked "OfficialCopy', in bio er4lerhia/ker office, and the copies shall be kept available for public inspection. Section 3. Brooklyn Center City Code Section 5 -204 is amended by adding new paragraph i as follows: 1. Open Burning; L Fxeept as authorized in this section_ open horning of any material is prohibited.
