RESOLUTION NO. _2026-062_
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE MOST QUALIFIED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE WEST FIRE STATION ROOFTOP
SOLAR PROJECT FOR THE MN DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE’S SOLAR
ON PUBLIC BULDINGS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to a Request for Proposals associated with the West Fire
Station Rooftop Solar project, two proposals were received, opened, and scored on the 12th day
of June, 2026. Said proposed project costs as follows:

TruNorth Solar $133,899.00 $2.44
Cedar Creek Energy $144,500.00 $2.66
WHEREAS, it appears that TruNorth Solar of Roseville, Minnesota is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract with TruNorth Solar of Roseville, Minnesota in the name of
the City of Brooklyn Center for the West Fire Station Rooftop Solar project,
according to the plans and specifications outlined in the project proposal
and in alignment with the Solar on Public Buildings grant program.
2. The estimated project costs and revenues for the project are as follows,

Overall Contract $ 133,899.00
REVENUES ESTIMATE
Solar on Public Buildings Grant $ 93,726.30
Federal Direct Pay $ 40,167.70
Total $ 133,899.00

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Lawrence-Anderson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Jerzak, Kragness, Lawernce-Anderson, Moore
and the following voted against the same:
none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
