Incorporation - Work is progressing to incorporate the group . Insurance - Estimates for coverage being sought . Carnival - A proposed carnival would have these characteristics: 16-18 rides, 30-35 concessions - Prices - kiddie rides $.75, adult $1 - Room needed - 300' x 300' - Run Wednesday through Sunday - They provide PR posters (up to 100) - They carry a $3 million insurance policy - Sites are being sought for greatest impact - Financial return to festival would be 10% on first $5,000 profit; $50 on next $5,000 and 200 on next $5,000 - Non-profit groups can put up concession stands There is a good chance this carnival will receive a contract for the festival. Hot Air Balloon Race - A presentation was made regarding the festival sponsoring this race: - 15 Balloons would be entered - Flight time could be Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening (6:30-8:30) estimated times - $3,000 needed to sponsor the race. Each sponsor would receive a banner with their name on it. on the balloon basket. A representative of that sponsor then could ride in the balloon during tbfie race. (10 balloons for sponsors, 5 for media-rep riders. - Winner could be announced at opening ceremonies or at city hall park before fireworks - Group would handle PR , insurance Parade - Rotary has offered $1,000 for the parade. Public Relations - Preliminary ideas: - Event stuffer could go in city manager's newsletter - City may be used as return address on letterhead - Storer Cable will tape events and do pre-event interviews - Grade schools could be involved in a poster contest .
