1. Correction of 4-13-87 meeting minutes.
A. Insurance to my knowledge no additional insurance
coverage is needed for the parade.
B. Sign Ordinance
Please re-check I believe this should read $10.00
per event, 5 sign locations included.
2. Carnival May 29-June 7
A. Carnival owner here later this week.
B. Power to be supplied by renting a generator from
Zeigler Company, Dale Christoperson. 599 5-412-1
Generator needed 1 150 KW
C. Electrical inspectors need to be contacted and
informed that this is carnival's 1st stop and
intial inspection is needed.
D. Reducer for water hydrant to supply water.
E. Ca ival permit is still needed.
Must check with City if permit is also needed
for hot air balloon race and car show.
F. Toliets and wash basins. Contract signed with
Waste Management to supply. They are also picking
up refuse----for reduced costs and donations.
H. WLOL Inflatible radio with D.J.'s and free T-Shirts
May 30th? Need to recomfirm and date.
I. Parking available after 4:30pm at Salvation Army
and Schmidt Music Center lots--(see letters of con-
firmation.)
J. Committee needs table or booth to sell memorbillia--
Buttons needed at this time.
K. Burger King will supply inflatable "moon walk" money
raised will be donated to CEAP.
L. REALTY WORLD will supply 9 foot hot air balloon and
give-a-ways.
3. Car Show June 6-7
A. Contract signed with MSMA (see contract)
B. Insurance naming Committee, City and Winfield Properties
recieved.
C. Expect 100 cars from 50's 701s.
D. Contact person Ron Blake.

4. Parade June 25th
A. As of 4-23--87 10 bands, dancelines, 9 floats, 50
units, pace ahead of 1986.
B. Honorary Grand Marshall--Anyone in City?
5. Circus July 2
A. Burger King to sell tickets from 4 locations.
B. Park and Rec. additional location.
C. Tickets ordered.
D. Volunteers needed to sell tickets during parade.
E. Scout troop assigned for clean-up July 3.
F. Scout troyo as~igned a parking lot attendants.

6. Helicopter Rides
Regardless of insurance outcome Committee's contract
with carnival prohibits any for profit activity with-
out carnival owners approval. He believes this ac-
tivity would hinder his ticket sales thus he exercises
his veto.
7. Auc*ton
A. June 27th is out due to low traffic due to cancela-
tion of Antique show at Westbrooke Mall.
B. See above action site and date must be moved.
C. Only other available time and place carnival.
E. Potential of $5,000.00.
F. Items needed between 100-125
a. few repeats, no gift-certificates.
G. Lead time (see comment on ambassadors).
8. Hot Air Balloon Race weekend of May 30th.
A. Weather permitting.
B. Because of late kickoff of Ambassadors, this event
will probably have to be subsidized. (see #9
Ambassadors)
~9. Ambassadors
A. Kickoff date is too late of a start. 5-21
1. 8 days before hot air balloon race, If sponsors
are to be found there is not enough time for
banners.
2. If auction is to be moved to carnival the date
available is May 30th, 9 days after kickoff.
a. action needs to be promoted via items to
be auctioned not enough time.

All publicity should be directed at distribution
prior to start of carnival, which includes other
major events.

If Post Tabloid this should go out on May 28th.

Other pamplets prior to this date.

Otherwise we miss most of the activities.

is needed to announce other events, inculding circus.

Volunteers needed to sell memorbillia.

There is mush left to do. Unless we get active much
will fail, such as what happened or didn't at
Kladiscope - booth was reserved, but we weren't there.
