ADJOURNMENT N Next meeting date: JUNE 29, 1987, CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 7:30 a.m. 0 0'NC J~ ~ JA, AL Earle Brown Days rooklyn Center Minnesota I EARLE BROWN DAYS MEETING MINUTES JUNE 22, 1987 CITY HALL THOSE PRESENT: QUENROE, NELSON, DOTH, COOK, ROEN, DORFF, ALFORD, LACROSSE, NYQUIST, WEISBECK, COHEN, BARONE FINANCIAL REPORT: Current balance of $16,734.72. QUENROE will call auctioneer to get committee's share of proceeds. City will pay $4,500 for fireworks on September 17. BICENTENNIAL UPDATE: Fred Albright will be Uncle Sam in the parade. CARNIVAL: Carnival proceeds are $3,889.60 before car show and balloon show expenses. CIRCUS: Advance ticket sales are going all right. Circus clown will be at the following locations on June 26: St. Anthony Development Achievement Center, Courage Center, Brookdale Library, Community Center, and North Memorial Medical Center. The clown will be at Brookdale on June 27. Outstanding concerns are directing traffic and parking, especially during the matinee. MEMORABILIA: All buttons and button money must be turned in to DORFF no later than June 24, 1987. QUENROE has insulated mugs in and will sell them for $2.50 each. ICE CREAM SOCIAL: All is going on schedule. Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota will say a few words during the program. One essay was submitted for My Sister/Brother is the greatest--automatic winner. SENIOR KING/QUEEN CORONATION: Royalty has been crowned and will participate in ice cream social and parade. SUNDAY IN CENTRAL PARK: Everything is under control. PUBLICITY: No report. AMBASSADORS: $10,232 collected to date, with about $3,000 more pledged. NEXT MEETING: Scheduled for June 29, 1987, at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall.
