HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-03 04-12 CCOCITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on the 112th day of April 1993, at 7 :15 p.m. at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway, to consider an ordinance amending Chapter 12 of the City Ordinances requiring recycling facilities to be provided at multiple family dwellings with more than eight units. Auxiliary aids for persons with disabilities are available upon request at least 96 hours in advance. Please contact the Personnel Coordinator at 569 -3300 to make arrangements. ORDINANCE NO. 93 -03 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES REQUIRING RECYCLING FACILITIES TO BE PROVIDED AT MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS WITH MORE THAN EIGHT UNITS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 12 of the City Ordinances of the City of Brooklyn Center is amended to read as follows: Section 12 -306. RESPONSIBILITY FOR STORAGE AND DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE,_ [AND] RUBBISH, AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS. Every owner of a multiple family dwelling or nonresidential building shall supply facilities for the sanitary and safe storage and disposal rubbish and garbage. In the case of single= or two family dwellings, it shall be the responsibility of the occupant to furnish such facilities. Every owner of a multifamily dwelling containing more than eight units must comply with the requirements of Section 7 -113 of the City Ordinances. Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective after adoption and thirty days following its legal publication. Adopted this 12th day of April 1993.
