ELECTION OF BOARD MEMBERS: Motion made by Countryman, seconded by Alford to elect Judith Berglund to Board of Directors for a two year term to expire 12/1/89. Approved. Motion made by Dorff, seconded by Roen to elect Steve Graffunder to Board of Directors for a one year term to expire 12/1/88. Approved. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of April 4 were approved. FINANCIAL REPORT: Alford reported a balance of $15,579.89 as of 4/18/88. . BUTTON SALES/MEMORABILIA: Buttons will sell for $1.00. Dorff reported approximately $30.00 worth of coupons and passed out a sample coupon sheet. Drop boxes will be available at each of the businesses. There will be three $100.00 prizes. Quinroe requests all board and committee members wear their straw hat to next meeting. AMBASSADORS: Cohen will meet with Vreeland to get mailing out. TABLOID: Vreeland met with representative from Post. We can either have Post do it or we can do it. If we do it, we have to sell ads. Deadline for tabloid infc is May 15. SENIOR CORONATION: Schram will be sending out the applications to senior clubs. Deadline for nominations is June 1. PUBLICITY: LaCrosse passed around info about a Post tabloid called Summertime Eighty eight. Deadline is May 15. A 2 page ad is $5.75. Quenroe suggested we call carnival people to pay 2. Board approved the expenditure of half the cost of a 2 page ad if carnival pays other half. LaCrosse highlighted information about advertising through cable television. 0 Minutes Continued NEW BUSINESS: Minnesota Zoo is celebrating an anniversary and would like to see a Brooklyn Center day at zoo. Residents would have a 20% discount. Berglund and Graffunder will check into it and report back next time. NEXT MEETING: Scheduled Monday, May 2 at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall.
