curt,
I spoke with John Sheehan today at about 2:20 PM. Here is what I have sa far:
Qate: Friday November 16` Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Meet at east end of site, parking in Heritage Center parking lot.
7he actual groundbreaking should take 20 to 30 minutes (weather permitting) including photos. I am assuming
here that the Mayor and perhaps Councilmember(s) will say a few words in addition to someone from Brooklyn
Hotel Partners.
John has taken care of inviting the Sun Post, Star Tribune and Finance and Commerce. Do we need to invite
Cable TV or can they address the project in some other way, such as one of their monthly °Northwest City"
Programs?
John indicated he would take care of contacting the Chamber. Should we invite anyone from the Brooklyn
Center Business AssQCiation?
Is there anyne else we need to invite?
John is waiting to find out from Brooklyn Hotel Partners if they want to serve any refreshments. It would
something light like eookies and coffee and probably coordinated with the Heritage Center. This would add
some time over the 20 to 30 minutes for those who choose to participate.
John is taking care of shovels and hardhats. I will also ask him if we can have a rendering of the hotel at the
groundbreaking and if someone will be taking photos other than the press.
ANYTHING ELSE ANYONE CAN THINK OF? ANYTHING I HAVE MISSED?
