RESOLUTION NO. 202 6 -07 6
A RESOLUTION APPRO VING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUND BALANCE AND CLASSIFICATION POLICY
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota (the "City") desires to maintain a strong financial position and sound financial management practices; and
WHEREAS, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Office of the State Auditor (OS A) provide guidance supporting the maintenance of adequate fund balances by local governments to promote financial stability and manage fiscal risks; and
WHEREAS, from time to time, the City Council reviews and amends its Fund Balance and Classification Policy (the "Policy") to reflect best practices and support the financial position of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the 202 6 Financial Management Plan on May 11, 202 6, which included recommendations related to the Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the Fund Balance and Classification Policy attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby approved.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Moore and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Graves, Jerzak, l<ragness, Moore and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
