MEhI0R1'JBUM TO: CDBG MembErs FROM: Brad Hof_fman, Administrative Assistant DATE: April 16, I9$4 p SIIBJECT: Meeting At te Year X Public Hearing, the CD3G Committee recommended an eenditure of Community Development funds for the following: Rehab Loan Program $167,592.00 Rehab Grant Program 50,000.00 Administration 24,000.00 TOTAL $241,592.00 The loan program was continqent upon my reviewing the program with HUD in arder to determine its eligibility. I hase since found out that we will not be able to develop a loan program. I did, however, discover that Brooklyn Center coes have a neighborhoo with a majority of low and mderate income people. This will open up a whole new realm of possibilities for the use of Conunity Development funds. What I have proposed and have discussed with Barb Jensen is to put all of the Year X money with the rehab grarit prograri. In May or June I would propose that we hold another public hearing to re-program that money. In the mean time, if you should have any ideas or suggestions about the use of the money give me a call and I will research them prior to the meeting, MEMORANDUM TO: CDBG Advisory Committee FROM: Brad Hoffman, Administrative Assistant DATE: April 12, 1984 SUBJECT: Proposed CDBG Programs The following is the staff recomirendation for the use of Year X Community Development Block Grant Funds: Home Rehabilitation Grants $193,274.00 Administration 24,159.00 Contingency 24,159.00
