HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-063 CCRMember Dan Ryan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2008-63 RESOLUTION DECLARING EARLE BROWN DAYS AS A CIVIC EVENT FROM JUNE 26 THROUGH JUNE 28, 2008 WHEREAS, the purpose of Earle Brown Days is to promote the City of Brooklyn Center, its people, and amenities; and WHEREAS, residents, the City, community civic groups, and businesses participate in the annual civic celebration to demonstrate the vitality of the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, in order for Earle Brown Days, Inc. to schedule certain events requiring City-issued administrative land use permits, it is necessary for Earle Brown Days to be declared a civic event. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that Earle Brown Days are declared a civic event from June 26 through June 28, 2008. Mav 27, 2008~~~ Date Mayor ATTEST: 4 City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay La.sman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Kay lasman, Mary O'Connor, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
