HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-073 CCRMember Kay lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2007-73 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 2008-01, 02, 03, AND 04, CONTRACT 2008-A, MARANATHA AREA NEIGHBORHOOD STREET, STORM DRAINAGE AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City's Capital Improvements Program identifies specific streets for proposed infrastructure improvements in 2008; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the scope of proposed improvements for 2008 in the Maranatha Area Neighborhood; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to begin the process of information gathering and solicitation of public comments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. Improvement Project Nos. 2008-01, 02, 03, and 04, Maranatha Area Neighborhood Street, Storm Drainage and Utility Improvements are hereby established. 2. Staff is directed to begin field work, contact property owners in the neighborhood to obtain comments and input, and hold public informational meetings for property owners in the neighborhood where improvements are proposed. 3. The City Engineer shall prepare a project feasibility report for review by the City Council in February 2008. 4. Estimated project costs for preliminary field work, geotechnical investigations, and sewer televising costs are as follows: COST AMOUNT Televising $ 15,800.00 Field Survey $ 11,700.00 Geotechnical Investigation $ 14.000.00 Estimated costs REVENUES Sanitary Sewer Utility Fund Water Utility Fund Storm Sewer Utility Fund Street Construction Fund Estimated Revenues $ 41,500.00 AMOUNT $ 22,225.00 $ 6,425.00 $ 6,425.00 $ 6.425.00 $ 41,500.00 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-73 Mav 14.2007 Date ATTEST: k~ - i(&_ City Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dan Ryan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof- Tim Willson, Kay lasman, Mary O'Connor, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
