HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-105 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2007-105 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF JOYCE GULSETH FOR HER 17 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, Joyce Gulseth has been an employee of the City of Brooklyn Center since January 29, 1990 and will retire October 1, 2007 after more than seventeen years of dedicated public service to the City of Brooklyn Center and its citizens; and WHEREAS, Joyce Gulseth has consistently provided the City of Brooklyn Center and its I residents with dedicated public service during her tenure working in the capacities of Administrative Aide with the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, Joyce Gulseth was instrumental in the administration of numerous public works functions, including: project funding and public communication for street and utility improvement projects; developed and implemented the Adopt-A-Park program; public utility operations; forestry management; tall grass and weed abatement programs; Great Shingle Creek Watershed Clean-up events; annual Landscape and Garden events; as well as many other administrative functions of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center wishes to recognize the professionalism with which Joyce Gulseth has discharged her duties and made a positive impact on the community of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, that the dedicated public service of Joyce Gulseth is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. August 13. 2007 Date 1, ATTEST: V-iV -,qI City Clerk w Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dan Ryan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Mary O'Connor, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
