RESOLUTION NO. 2007-124
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRELIMINARY TAX CAPACITY
LEVY FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND DEBT SERVICE FUNDS
AND A MARKET VALUE TAX LEVY FOR THE HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR PROPERTY TAXES
PAYABLE IN 2008
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center is the
governing body of the City of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that the preliminary property tax
levy for property taxes payable in 2008 be provided to the Hennepin County Auditor no
later than September 15, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that a tax is hereby levied on all taxable real and personal property
within the City of Brooklyn Center for the purpose and sums as follows:
General Fund
General Tax Levy $ 11,404,750
Debt Service
2004 A-Police & Fire Building Refunding Bonds $ 730,152
Housing and Redevelopment Authoritv
HRA Tax Levy $ 302,191
Total Levy $ 12.437.093

The motion for adoption of the forgoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich;
and the following voted against same: Mary 0' Connor;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
