HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-127 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2007-127 RESOLUTION RESCINDING ASSESSMENT OF UNPAID UTILITIES AND DELINQUENT WEED REMOVAL COSTS TO 5546 EMERSON AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 2007-40 on March 12, 2007 certifying assessment of unpaid utilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 2007-39 on March 12, 2007 certifying assessment of delinquent weed removal costs; and WHEREAS, the property owned by Roberta. Floyd at 5546 Emerson Ave North was on the list of properties with unpaid utilities and the list of delinquent weed removal costs; and WHEREAS, the owner, Ms. Floyd, had filed a petition for bankruptcy protection on January 17, 2007, prior to the actual certification of these unpaid utilities and delinquent weed removal costs; and WHEREAS, the City did not receive notice of this filing until August 17, 2007. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the assessment of unpaid utilities and delinquent weed removal costs to the property at 5546 Emerson Ave North certified on March 12, 2007, in the amounts of $514.75 and $252.50, respectively, be and hereby are rescinded.
