The Brooklyn Center Housin� and Redevelopment Authprity (HRA) met in Special Session and was
called to order by Chair Myrna K.ragness at 7:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Chair Myrna Kragness, Commissioners Kathleen Carmody, Ka:y Lasman, Diane Niesen, and Mary
O' Connor. Also present; Executive Director Michael McCauley, Assistant City ManagerlDirector of
Operations Curt Boganey, Public Works Director/City Engineer Todd Blomstrom, Community
Develapment Director Brad Hoffinan, Director of Fiscal and Support Services Dan Jordet, City
Attorney Charlie LeFevere, and Deputy City Clerk Camille Yungerberg.

Commissioner Carmody moved and Commissioner Niesen seconded to approve the agenda and
consent agenda. Motion passed unanimously and the following item was approved:

Executive Director Michael Mc�auley stated the HRA has two items, one being the budget and the
other being the tax levy whieh is a percentage of Market Value Levy.

Commissioner Niesen moved and Councilmember Carmody seconded to apprave RESOLUTION
NO. 2005-03 Establishing a final Mazket Value Levy for the Purpase of Defraying the Cost of
Operation, Providing Informational Services and Relocation Assistatice Pursuant to the Provisions of
Minnesota Statutes Chapter 469.033 for the City of Brooklyn Center Housing and Redeveloprnent
Authority for Fiscal Year 2005.
Councilmember O'Connor voted against the same. Motion passed.
2. RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF
BROOKLYN CENTER HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT

Commissioner Lasman moved and Councilmember Carmody seconded to approve RESOLUTION
NO. 2005-04 Approvin� the Final Budget for the City of Brooklyn Center Housing and
Redevelopment Authority Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 469.
Councilmember O' Connor voted against the saxne. Motion passed.

LEVY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE COST OF
OPERATION, PROVIDING INFORMATIONAL SERUICES AND
RELOCATIOIV ASSISTANCE PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
MINNESOTA STATUTES CHAPTER 469.033 FOR THE CITY OF
BROOKLYN GENTER HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007
WHEREAS, Minnesota. Statutes require that the preliminary property tax
levy be provided to the Hennepin County Auditor no later than September 1S, 2006, for
taxes payable in calendar year 2007; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HQUSing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that a special ta� is
hereby levied on a11 taxable real and personal property within the City of Brooklyn
Center at the rate of 0.0144% of the total mazket value of real and personal property
situated within the corporate limits of the City of Brooklyn Center that is not exempted
by law; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ro e tax levied under this

resolution be used for the operations and activities of the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Brooklyn Center pursuant to 1Vlinnesota Statutes Chapter 469.001
to 469.047.
