HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-126 CCR Member �ay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2QO9-126 i RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONSTRUCTION COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR THE BASS LAKE ROAD STREETSCAPE AND REGIONAL TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTNO. 2009-18 BETWEEN HENNEPIN COUNTY AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center ("City") and Hennepin County ("County") have been working cooperatively to advance the project to provide streetscape, trail, water quality and general roadway improvements to the Bass Lake Road (County Road 10) corridor from Brooklyn Boulevard to Highway 100; and WHEREAS, the Project is multi jurisdictional, involving the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Hennepin County, Three Rivers Park District and the City; and WHEREAS, federal economic stimulus funding under the America Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 has been awarded to the City in the amount of $2,000,000 to construct said improvements; and WHEREAS, the City intends to pay for the Project with ARRA funding, County funding, Three Rivers Park District funding and City funding to be determined; and WHEREAS, the project bid letting is scheduled for November/December of 2009 and construction to commence spring 2010; and WHEREAS, the City and Hennepin County desire to set forth their various construction responsibilities in an agreement under the provisions of Minnesota Statute, Section 471.59. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The provisions of the Hennepin County Agreement No. PW 46-02-09, a Construction Cooperative Agreement between the City of Brooklyn Center and Hennepin County are hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayar and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement.
