HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-082 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-82 RESOLUTION DECLARING A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THE REMOVAL OF DISEASED TREES WHEREAS, a Notice to Abate Nuisance and Diseased Tree Removal Agreement has been issued to the owners of certain properties in the City of Brooklyn Center giving the owners twenty (20) days to remove diseased trees on the owners' property; and WHEREAS, the City can expedite the removal of these diseased trees by declaring them a public nuisance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. The diseased trees at the following addresses are hereby declared to be a public nuisance: PROPERTY OWNER ROSE WINDSPERGER JOHN STALOCH NAZEEMA SHERIFF JEFF DIEDRICH SHARON SCHOENIKE WANGSTAD PARK WANGSTAD PARK KONG LEE BEACH APARTMENT OWNERS ASSOC. CAMERON KEHNE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER ROSE TABARA MN DIST CHURCH OF NAZARENE KATHLEEN MILFORD RAYMOND ANDERSON DONALD & BONNIE PETERSON CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER ADDRESS TREE # 2919 OHENRY RD. 77 419 67TH AVE N 78 5000 71 ST AVE N 79 6331 INDIANA AVE N 80 6424 JUNE AVE N 81 WANGSTAD PARK 82 WANGSTAD PARK 83 6031 BROOKLYN BLVD 84 4201-4207 LAKESIDE AVE 85 6724 QUAIL AVE N 86 WILLOW LANE PARK 87 5325 CAMDEN AVE N 88 501 73RD AVE N 89 3212 MUMFORD AVE N 90 7113 WILLOW LA N 91 3715 58TH AVE N 92,93 5512 SAILOR LA 94 2. After twenty (20) days from the date of the notice, the property owner(s) will receive a second written notice providing five (5) business days in which to contest the determination of the City Council by requesting, in writing, a hearing. Said request shall be filed with the City Clerk. RESOLUTION NO. 2006-82 3. After five (5) days, if the property owner fails to request a hearing, the tree(s) shall be removed by the City. All removal costs, including legal, financing, and administrative charges, shall be specially assessed against the property.
