Also present were Councilmember Rich Theis and Housing Coordinator Brad Hoffman. Not present were Commissioners Ray Haroldson and Phil Cohen. YEAR 2000 REPORT Brad Hoffman reviewed the actions of the Housing Commission at the May, 1986 meeting. At that time, it was determined that an on -site drive by survey of the City's entire housing stock would be conducted by the staff to provide the Housing Commission with data needed to make pertinent decisions relative to potential housing programs in Brooklyn Center. Brad Hoffman noted that the survey is being conducted and has not at this point in time been completed. He indicated that he felt that it would probably be towards the end of the year before the survey was completed and that the data from the survey may take another month to compile. He also indicated that the desire to get certain information, as outlined at the May meeting relative to housing stock computerized, may take some time. It requires the coordination of several departments and is currently being coordinated. A definite time for the completion of that project is not available. SOLAR PROJECT Barb Jensen reviewed for the Council the current status of the solar demonstration project. This indicated that the committee was not able to meet during the summer, but that steps would be taken to complete that study during the course of this Housing Commission term. T.H. 252 DEVELOPMENT Brad Hoffman reviewed the potential housing developments along T.H. 252. He noted that during the highway development, several parcels were taken and eventually those parcels would be available for combining with others for housing development. A brief discussion then ensued relative to that as a possible program. Brad Hoffman indicated that this is a project that would probably be realized in context of about five years. Discussion then ensued and it was agreed that a map showing the parcels in question would be made available for the next meeting. 10 -14 -86 -1- OTHER BUSINESS A brief discussion ensued relative to the next meeting date.
