RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE
2007 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center is the
governing body of the City of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that a preliminary budget be
adopted for funds using property tax revenues along with the adoption of the preliminary
property tax levy; and
WHEREAS, a preliminary property tax levy of $ 11,958,743 has been
proposed for adoption the basis for the budget proposed herewith; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the following amounts be adopted as the preliminary budget for
property tax supported funds appropriated as follows:

Property Tax Levy $ 10,939,788
less: Amount for Uncollectible (218,795)
Sales Tax - Lodging Tax Gross Receipts 650,000
Licenses & Permits 771,443
Intergovernmental Revenues 1,290,030

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kathleen Carmody
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.
Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, and Diane Niesen;
and the following voted against the same: Mary O'Connor;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
